色の説明

金春色（こんぱるいろ）とは、明るい緑みの鮮やかな青色のことです。この色は東京・新橋の“金春新道（こんぱるしんみち）”に置屋のあった芸者が好んで使ったので『金春色』とよばれました。
別名は『新橋色』でこちらのほうが一般的です。洋色名は『ターコイズ・ブルー』。

『金春色』は化学染料が輸入されるようになった明治から大正にかけて大流行した色で、藍染にはない明るい青緑色が新鮮で喜ばれ、版画や絵画など広く使われました。

そんなハイカラな色をまっさきに和服に取り入れたのが花柳界の新興勢力であった新橋の芸者達です。きっと、これまでにない『金春色』の艷やかな色合いが受けたのでしょう。

『金春色』が新橋芸者のハイカラをあらわしたものに対し、深川芸者の渋好みを表現した色は『深川鼠（ふかがわねずみ）』と呼ばれました。

ちなみに、『金春色』の由来となった金春新道は現在でも銀座の裏通りに“金春通り”として残っており、通りの銘板にはこの色が使われています。
当時は流行の最先端だったこの通りも、現在では江戸情趣（えどじょうしゅ）を残す「銀座の最後の砦」と言われており、歴史の面白さを感じますね。

The alias is “Shinbashi-iro” and this is more common. Western-style name is “turquoise blue”.

“Konparu-iro” is a popular color from the Meiji period to the Taisho period when chemical dyes were imported, and the bright blue-green color that is not found in textiles is fresh and pleasing, and prints and paintings were widely used.

It is the geishas of Shinbashi that was the emerging power of the Hanayagi world that incorporated such high-color colors into Japanese clothes at the very beginning. Surely, the refreshing color of “Konparu-iro” which has never been received will be received.

“Konparu-iro” represents Shincho Geisha’s high color, the color that expresses the astringent taste of Fukakawa Geisha is called “Fukagawanezumi”.

By the way, “Konparu-Shinmichi”, which is the origin of “Konparu-iro”, still remains as “Konparu street” on the back street of Ginza, and this color is used for the nameplate of the street.
This street, which was at the cutting edge of the trend at the time, is now said to be the “last gin of Ginza” that leaves the Edo mood, and I feel that the history is interesting.
